I’m off and running to the fabulous getaway in Bend, Or. I have the opportunity to go spend 3 days at Eagle Crest Resort for just the cost of food! No computers, work, errands, nothing. My sister is going over for training and the second bedroom just opened up. While she’s training I’ll be spending some wonderful (much needed) one on one time with the Lord. I’ve had a migraine since Sunday so I know it will do wonders for that as well – the Lord’s touch…

See you Saturday πŸ˜€

If you need inspiration, just watch the following video. It is a true testament of a parents love for a child!!

A son asked his father, ‘Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?’ The father who, despite having a heart condition, says ‘Yes’. They went on to complete the marathon together. Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying ‘Yes’ to his son’s request of going through the race together. One day, the son asked his father, ‘Dad, let’s join the Iron-man together.’

To which, his father said ‘Yes’ .

For those who didn’t know, Iron-man is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Island.

Father and son went on to complete the race together.
No words necessary, just images…

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Such an amazing picture of the love Jesus has for us. He wants us to succeed, He is there with us every step of the way, carrying us when we need to be carried. He is waiting for us to ask Him where He wants us to go. The time is now. We must seek His face, and run to do as He wants. He only wants what is best for us. Is it going to be easy? No. It is going to be hard, but the prize is worth it. To run the race with Him, to cross the finish line with Him. What could be better than knowing we have run the race, and given our all in the process?

I found this at a new site I was visiting A Family is Forever.

This last month has been so busy, I feel like summer is almost over! And this next week will be a long one as well. I sure miss you all!

Can you believe it is almost the middle of July?

Does anyone else feel like they are behind? Forgetting or missing something?
