If you need inspiration, just watch the following video. It is a true testament of a parents love for a child!!

A son asked his father, ‘Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?’ The father who, despite having a heart condition, says ‘Yes’. They went on to complete the marathon together. Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying ‘Yes’ to his son’s request of going through the race together. One day, the son asked his father, ‘Dad, let’s join the Iron-man together.’

To which, his father said ‘Yes’ .

For those who didn’t know, Iron-man is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Island.

Father and son went on to complete the race together.
No words necessary, just images…

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Such an amazing picture of the love Jesus has for us. He wants us to succeed, He is there with us every step of the way, carrying us when we need to be carried. He is waiting for us to ask Him where He wants us to go. The time is now. We must seek His face, and run to do as He wants. He only wants what is best for us. Is it going to be easy? No. It is going to be hard, but the prize is worth it. To run the race with Him, to cross the finish line with Him. What could be better than knowing we have run the race, and given our all in the process?

I found this at a new site I was visiting A Family is Forever.

Isn’t our Father God just like that..HE says yes when it will benefit what HE is teaching us, but also loves us to the point of Jesus dying for us..very good thoughts…Love you and miss you!

Darla, yes it is what HE wants, when He wants that matters. I think I’m back πŸ˜‰

Heidi, that was exactly how I felt. How long did they train, how much went before the actual race itself? How much more that we don’t see, only when we stop to think about it can we even begin to imagine.
